What another crazy year it's been! The focus of my photography in 2023 has been mainly British species, the highlight being spending 48 hours on Skomer Island off the coast of Pembrokeshire in west Wales. Home to over 40,000 breeding puffins, plus an array of other marine birds including razorbills, Manx shearwater and guillemots, it was a truly unique experience to be surrounded by such a high-density of wildlife and be able to photograph them during the golden hours of sunrise and sunset. Local trips plus adventures further afield have further added to my collection of photographs, too.


With a portfolio of images under my belt, I'm pleased to announce the release of my Nature of the British Isles 2024 Charity Calendar. Featuring 12 of my favourite photographs from around the country, this year's calendar is full of British wildlife and landscapes that take you from the puffin-filled coastal cliffs of Skomer Island to the urban streets of central Bristol, from the sweeping valleys of the Lake District to the snow-covered peaks of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons).


This year's charity of choice is The Wildlife Trusts, a collection of 46 individual wildlife trusts working to make a positive difference to the natural world within the areas that they're based. Through the protection of wild spaces, and increasing people's awareness and understanding of the natural world through education, they aim to deepen people's relationship with wildlife to encourage them to protect it for future generations. With over 2300 nature reserves UK-wide, and over 120 education centres within these sites, The Wildlife Trusts are a critically important community helping to conserve British wildlife.


As such, £2 from every calendar purchase this year will be donated to support the ongoing work of The Wildlife Trusts - thank you in advance for your contribution.
